He started his professional carrier in 1981 in the Company of his father - Józef Urban, starting on cost estimating the works. In 1987, he obtained the certificate of the installer of sanitary and heating installations. In the same year, together with his father and brother, he established a civil partnership, which lasted (as Józef i Jacek Urban) till the death of the founder of the enterprise - Józef Urban on February 29, 2000. At the same time, from 1997 to 2000, he carried out the additional professional activity on own behalf under the already known firm: "URBAN", and from March 2000 independently. In July 2000 the company changed its name into: Przedsiębiorstwo Wielobranżowe "URBAN". The primary activity of "URBAN" is construction of sanitary, water and sewage, gas, central heating installations and minor construction works. The speciality of the Company are first of all repair and maintenance works, related to unclogging and cleaning the sanitary and rainwater collection systems. At work, he focuses on the quality of the performed works and short time of realisation of works. An example of that is obtaining by the Company in 2001 the Certificate confirming satisfying by the Company: P.W. "URBAN" the requirements of: EN ISO 9001:2000 Standards and recently (January 2005) obtaining the renewal certificate. In his rich professional carrier, Jacek Urban was also, among others, a history teacher at the Primary School in Jerzyków, alderman of the 1st Term of the Town Council of Pobiedziska Commune and the member of the Town and Commune Board. Moreover, he was the President of the Association for Support of Social and Economic Initiatives and the Development of Pobiedziska Region "PIAST", thanks to which a comprehensive telephone installation in the town and commune Pobiedziska was performed. He is interested in the history of castles and sacral complexes, as well as the history of the surrounding area, that is Wielkopolska - he published several dozen articles in the industry publications, including popular science and local periodicals. For his professional activity, Jacek Urban was awarded, among others, with Silver and Golden Badge "For Merits in the Development of Craftsmanship in Wielkopolska", the Craftsmanship Badge of Honour and many diplomas and recognitions for performing installation works. He also obtained many letters of recommendation for the performed works. |
The present owner of Przedsiębiorstwo Wielobranżowe "URBAN" is Jacek Urban, PhD, a graduate of one of the most renowned universities in Poland - Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where he received in 1995 the PhD title. He supplemented his education with several vocational courses and post-graduate studies.
